Warm Gingerbread Oatmeal

This warm gingerbread oatmeal is the perfect healthy breakfast for a cold winter morning. The combination of spices taste super similar to a classic gingerbread cookie so you can enjoy a breakfast that tastes like dessert. This recipe is vegan and perfect if you are on a diet with a sweet tooth that needs to be satisfied.

Warm Gingerbread Oatmeal

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½  cup of old fashioned oats
  • 2 cups of water
  • Tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp powdered ginger
  • ½ tsp cardamom
  • ½ tsp allspice
  • 4 drops Slim Sweet
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • Pinch of salt
  • Toppings: chopped pecans and almond milk

Preparation:

  1. In a medium pot boil the water with a pinch of salt.
  2. Turn the heat to low and add in the oats to cook for 5 minutes or until thick.
  3. Add in the remaining ingredients and top with almond milk and chopped pecans.
  4. Serve and enjoy!
