Warm Gingerbread Oatmeal
This warm gingerbread oatmeal is the perfect healthy breakfast for a cold winter morning. The combination of spices taste super similar to a classic gingerbread cookie so you can enjoy a breakfast that tastes like dessert. This recipe is vegan and perfect if you are on a diet with a sweet tooth that needs to be satisfied.
Warm Gingerbread Oatmeal
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cup of old fashioned oats
- 2 cups of water
- Tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp powdered ginger
- ½ tsp cardamom
- ½ tsp allspice
- 4 drops Slim Sweet
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- Pinch of salt
- Toppings: chopped pecans and almond milk
Preparation:
- In a medium pot boil the water with a pinch of salt.
- Turn the heat to low and add in the oats to cook for 5 minutes or until thick.
- Add in the remaining ingredients and top with almond milk and chopped pecans.
- Serve and enjoy!
