Sometimes we are in the mood for a black coffee with a splash of milk, while others we want to dress up our coffee and make it the perfect combination of sweet and strong.

With how busy all our lives are we can easily get caught up in constantly getting a coffee to go from our favourite cafés and coffee shops. However, getting a coffee to go every day can really get expensive plus these coffees have a lot of additional ingredients that aren’t healthy. Today we want to help you save some money and make a healthier choice when it comes to your daily coffee.

This recipe is the perfect morning drink to start your day off right, and also works great as a midday pick me up using your leftover coffee from the morning.

Healthy Iced Coffee

Coffee on its own is not bad for you at all. In fact, a cup of coffee with no milk or sugar has only one calorie. What adds the calories to your coffee, making it not very good for you, is the kinds of milk, syrups, and sugars. The wrong types of additives can lead to your morning coffee having over 400 calories! This is almost as much as a meal has, and these calories aren’t full of nutrients, but fat, carbs, and sugars which are not good for your body.

Making a healthy iced coffee does not mean you have to only drink it black. You can still enjoy the delicious sweet tastes but with some small adjustments, you can bring a 450 calorie coffee to under 50 calories!

The motivation behind this recipe was to remake one of the world's most famous and popular drinks; the chocolate mocha! The sweet chocolate mixed with strong brewed coffee and ice is amazing! So why not enjoy this classic without all the calories? We have you covered.

For a healthier alternative to an iced coffee favourite, here is the Skinny Iced Mocha Recipe!
