No Sugar Challenge LAST UPDATE

One month without sugar is officially DONE! Did you do this challenge with us or are you trying to see how hard it is before you try? Let me tell you that it is not as bad as I thought it would be! After one month of eating no sugar, I can officially say: I MISS IT! 

But, I am much more mindful of my sugar consumption and will try to watch how much sugar I eat from now on. I think this challenge is super interesting because at first, it sounds absolutely crazy: NO SUGAR? But once you try it you will realize that a life without sugar isn’t the end of the world.

Challenge is done: how did you experience the challenge?

I think the challenge was fun. I do have to admit that I cheated a tiny bit and had a little bit of sugar - time of the month and all. But nothing crazy! It is pretty hard to stick with but I am happy I only slipped up a few times.

 

What did you eat during your last week?

Oatmeal, pasta, fruit. Anything that I love that doesn’t contain sugar was fair game! I think sticking with foods that I love made avoiding sugar much easier.

 

How did you feel during the week?

This week I felt pretty tired, mainly because I’m a girl and every month I get tired around a certain time. As a result I was craving sugar and gave in to a few things. Oops!

 

Are you seeing any changes with your body?

I am less bloated which is lovely!

 

Were there any obstacles, and what did you do to overcome them?

Having your period and not eating sugar is almost IMPOSSIBLE! But sometimes it is important to listen to your body and eat that piece of chocolate because it did make me feel good.
