Low Carb Vegan French Toast Recipe

French toast is one of the best and most delicious breakfast recipes ever! It is perfect because it can be made both sweet and savoury, and is super easy to make. This is the ultimate low carb breakfast that you can enjoy every day of the week. Plus it is a 100% vegan breakfast recipe for anyone with this dietary preference. 

One problem with french toast is that it is made with bread which is often full of carbs and calories. We made this recipe with our amazing low carb SlimBread so you can enjoy this tasty breakfast with little carbs. To make it vegan we substituted eggs for mashed banana!

Low Carb Vegan French Toast Recipe

Ingredients:

Preparation:

  1. Prepare and bake the SlimBread and cut into thin slices. 
  2. Spread a thin layer of SlimJam cherry on the slices. 
  3. In a bowl, mash 70g of banana and mix with 85ml of unsweetened almond milk.
  4. Place the slices of toast in the banana milk and let the liquid soak up from both sides.
  5. Add the soaked slices to a frying pan on medium heat with a small amount of coconut oil and cook on both sides.
  6. Serve with cherries and pistachio Puree/Cream.
