Chocolate Candy Apples

Chocolate Candy Apples
Ingredients:
For the Chocolate Coating:
- 6 medium-sized apples
- 1 package of CleanFoods Skinny Chocolate (dark or milk chocolate, depending on your preference)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- Optional toppings: crushed nuts, sprinkles, or mini chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Wash and dry the apples. Remove any wax or residue from the skin.
- Insert wooden sticks into the stem end of each apple, making sure they are secure. Set them aside on a parchment paper-lined tray.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, break the CleanFoods Skinny Chocolate into small pieces and add the coconut oil. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring each time until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Dip each apple into the melted Skinny Chocolate, ensuring it's coated evenly. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.
- While the chocolate is still soft, you can sprinkle your chosen toppings onto the apples. Crushed nuts, sprinkles, or mini chocolate chips work well. Place the apples back onto the parchment paper to set.
- Let the Chocolate Candy Apples cool at room temperature until the chocolate coating hardens. This should take about 30 minutes to an hour.
